A Witch's Poisons: Year 2
Join the pilot program for Sanctum of the Craft's seminary as we continue our in-depth course on A Witch's Poisons, taught by Master Herbalist Akiima Nicholls Shields. This graduate level course continues our exploration of poisons traditionally associated with witchcraft, from their use throughout history from prehistory to the modern era to their very real poisonous properties.
For each plant, we cover the history, lore (both traditional and in popular culture), toxicology, chemistry, clinical and case studies, incidents of poisoning, medicinal uses, magickal uses, household uses, identification, where to find it in the wild, cultivation, propagation, harvesting and storage, and recipes.
We have a new set of poisons such as Foxglove, Arsenic, and Fly Agaric, to name but a few. The course can be enrolled in at any time.
We are rolling out the new phase of our pilot program with the ability to self-enroll in classes. If you do not yet have an account in the Seminary system, please create one at the new sign up page. Once you have an account, you can enroll yourself in the course. If you encounter any issues, please contact us.
Our suggested donation is $25 for the entire class; however, payment in order to attend is not required, as students are also serving as pilot users for our program. Completion will count for course credit for future degrees offered through our seminary program.
Class begins on Friday, 2 August, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time, and will be held weekly.
